TMR Rescue is currently home to 320 equines. These horses, donkeys, mules, and ponies come from a variety of backgrounds from owner relinquishment to confiscation for abuse and neglect. We've assisted in multiple hoarding situations and rescue as many expecting mothers from slaughter every year. We rehabilitate and rehome many of these equine and provide a sanctuary to others. So far in 2024, we have rescued 14 animals and found 44 animals their new forever homes. In 2023, we totaled 84 adoptions and 44 rescues. Every animal that comes through our adoption program is trained and socialized before leaving TMR for their new lives. In addition to adoption, TMR Rescue utilizes outreach opportunities to teach the public about equine in need. We utilize a mini donkey named Benny. Benny provides therapy in addition to being our ambassador. He makes several trips to schools and retirement homes each month. Educating the public about equine in need has become a love of Benny's as well as ours.
