KEOS's diverse daily programming schedule illustrates the community involvement of our programming volunteers and Management Team. KEOS continues to be community-focused, and the station's outreach programming includes the following:
--We promote local live music concerts and feature local artists on KEOS programs.
--We serve the underserved, such as minorities and youth, through music, news, and information.
--We involve our listeners with interactive talk and volunteer opportunities.
--We offer a wide variety of locally produced music programs, featuring traditional country, bluegrass, alternative rock, ambient, metal, soul, blues, funk, Tejano music, reggae, gospel, classic rock, roots music, world music, etc.
--We help our community by airing community public service announcements (PSAs).
--We encourage participation from community speakers regarding public information.
--We have an open-door policy. Everyone can participate, whether on the air or behind the scenes.
--We occasionally broadcast from downtown Bryan during First Fridays, and our volunteers appear at various musical and community events throughout the year.
--We partner with various non-profit, educational, and community organizations. --We invite listeners in to tour the studio and record PSAs and station identifications that air on KEOS.
KEOS is currently raising funds to replace the siding at the KEOS Bell Studios (202 E. Carson). The estimated cost for the siding replacement is $25,000. We have a $10,000 matching goal from a generous donor, and need to raise $15,000 to replace all of the siding. Unless indicated otherwise by the donor, all the money raised during Brazos Valley Gives 2024 will be used to cover the costs of this project.
