We Believe - Suicide is a Public Health Concern; Suicide is devastating & no one is immune; Suicide has recognizable warning signs & predictive risk factors; Suicide is largely preventable through awareness, advocacy, education, intervention, & treatment; Every individual, family, business, church, school, & community should have a viable Suicide Prevention Plan. We provide community outreach, community support, public awareness, crisis response, & suicide prevention education.
Suicide impacts almost every segment of our community, and the numbers are alarming. More people die by suicide than from opioid overdose; accidental drowning; fires; homicide; & even automobile accidents. Suicide is at epidemic proportions, and it has to be stopped. We have lost way too many in our community. With your help, we will stop it!
We provide Awareness Training; Education; Peer Support; Grief Recovery; Advocacy; Skills Development for Youth; Prevention Plan Development, Military Veteran Support, Law Enforcement & 1st responder Support, School Initiatives; & Community Outreach. We host family member & survivor support groups & we teach resiliency skills to teenagers that protect them from suicide ideation. We host conferences, symposiums, and public awareness events. We meet with legislators to educate them on the need for mental health funding for our community. We provide crisis intervention and train the public on how to develop suicide prevention plans. Won't you please consider giving to the Brazos Valley Coalition on Suicide Prevention. Your gift will help us save lives right here in the Brazos Valley, maybe even someone you know. Thank you and God bless.
