Urgent Need for Temporary Housing Assistance for Families and Individual Victims of Domestic Violence, Sexual Abuse and Evictions.

This past year our local area has experienced an increase in domestic violence and sexual assault cases, where individuals or mothers with children needed immediate shelter for their safety. In addition, we had many families who were evicted from their apartments or rental houses who needed urgent shelter while awaiting more permanent housing. Your generous monetary donations will allow us to be better prepared to respond to the needs of families and individuals in crisis.

Our goal is to raise $20,000 to help us expand our Temporary Housing Assistance to provide short term hotel rooms. This will allow us to respond immediately when we receive calls from individuals of domestic violence, sexual abuse or evictions. We can reach our goal with 20 gifts of $1,000 or 1,000 gifts of $20, or anything in between. We are grateful for whatever you can give!

For over 40 years SVdP BCS has provided assistance to the neediest families in our local community. In addition to hundreds of Christmas gifts and Thanksgiving food annually, this assistance has been in the form of temporary housing, rent & utility supplements, basic furniture and household items, food, clothing, medications, transportation, and debt counseling.

In addition, SVdP Thrift Store and SVdP Furniture Ministry continue to assist our neighbors in need with low-priced merchandise and free furniture. Assistance is provided to over 2,000 people each year, without discrimination.
