BRAZOS VALLEY GIVES

Our Daughters' House

About this Organization

At Our Daughters' House, we provide a comprehensive support program for young women aging out of foster care and their children, aiming to empower them to transition to independent, fulfilling lives while preventing homelessness and reducing the risk of trafficking. Our program offers safe housing, ensuring a stable and secure living environment where residents can rebuild their lives.

We provide educational support to help them obtain GEDs, pursue higher education, and access vocational training, equipping them with the skills for long-term success. Through partnerships with local businesses, we offer job placement assistance and workshops on resume writing, interview skills, and workplace etiquette. Our life skills training covers essential topics like financial literacy, budgeting, cooking, parenting, and time management, crucial for self-sufficiency.

We also offer counseling and therapy services to address emotional and mental health needs, fostering resilience. Bible studies and counseling are available, which provide a faith-based foundation of hope and purpose. Community engagement connects residents with local churches, volunteer mentors, and support networks, extending assistance beyond their stay.

Additionally, we provide for their children, ensuring they break the cycle of foster care. Our approach at Our Daughters' House creates a nurturing environment that promotes healing, growth, and independence, breaking the foster care cycle for future generations.
