Upon recognizing a need in our communities, Men Making Moves was formed to provide an avenue for our young men and women, to maximize positive growth and future potential. Our organization consists strictly of volunteers and our events are made possible through donations received from individuals and businesses in our communities. Without YOU, what we do would not be possible. We take pride in giving back to the youth in our communities and providing financial assistance to those in need. We originated in Navasota, Texas and service all surrounding counties. We hold various events throughout the year to support the young men and women in our communities. We provide yearly scholarships to graduating high school seniors. We provide cash awards to students to assist with prom expenses. We host an annual backpack giveaway that provides over 1,000 students with new backpacks that includes 5 pair of t-shirts, 5 pair of underwear/boxers, 5 pair of socks, toothbrush, toothpaste, lotion, dental floss, deodorant, soap, body wash, and school supply kits. We also provide additional clothing items, 200 pair of new shoes, tv's and desks. We support youth sports programs in various counties. We provide tutoring and mentoring services. We provide 4 families with a complete Thanksgiving Dinner yearly that feeds up to 10 people. We host an annual Christmas bicycle & electric scooter giveaway, which provides over 1,000 children with a new bicycle or electric scooter, a meal for the families that attend, and an additional 250 door prizes for the families. All of our events are 100% free for the families and are open to all students grades head start through 12th grade; regardless of where the students reside or attend school.
