In 2024, Here I Am Orphan Ministries is excited to be celebrating 19 years of serving vulnerable children! Since HIAOM launched in 2005 we have:
- Served vulnerable children in Kazakhstan, Ethiopia, Ukraine, Philippines, Colombia, China, and the United States
- Helped 245 children go home to their forever families
- Dispersed 129 adoption grants and interest-free loans totaling over $450,000
- Served over 100 children through our Gifts of Love and Missions program
- In the past year, the HIAOM Forever Families Director has directly served at least 23 families (115 parents and children) on a regular basis
- In the past 2 years, HIAOM has supported 39 forever families in Texas and throughout the United States with $105,000 in adoption grants or interest-free loans that help to cover a portion of adoption fees. Some of our families are adopting two or more children at a time which means these grants and loans help bring home 52 children to loving Christian families!
- Adoptive Mom's "Restore" Retreat - As we started expanding our post-adoption support, we identified a need with adoptive moms specifically. Moms are on the front lines of families, and if mom is not healthy, it is hard for her family to thrive.
- In the past 2 years, we have hosted 5 Moms' Retreats serving 41 adoptive families.
- Provided funds to help a struggling family seek much-needed weekly professional counseling (outside our staff expertise)
