About this Organization

"Making HIS mission, our mission", FAITH MISSION helps people find hope dignity and life purpose even in the midst of crisis. FAITH MISSION & Help Center is a faith-based community nonprofit organization working as a central clearinghouse to help people facing great life challenges become self-sufficient through short term assistance and paths to long-term improvement. FAITH MISSION ROUTINE SERVICE STATS FOR FOR YEAR PRIOR TO COVID (Services during Covid years was very specialized. We are currently returning to pre-Covid levels.)
• 100,000+ pounds of donated clothing is (1) provided at no cost to those in need, (2) sold in our thrift stores, (3) shipped to foreign missions or (3) recycled.
• 100+ furniture and appliances are furnished at no cost to families with emergency needs.
• 50+ are provided with budget counseling
• 25+ are provided jobs that includes job training with daily classes as a part of the Work/Training Program
• 5,000+ shelter nights including all related services.
• 275+ received emergency assistance for rent or utilities.
• 350+ requests for clothing, furniture and/or household goods were provided.
• 80,000+ pounds of food was distributed to Washington County families
• 25,000+ hot meals were provided at no charge through FM's Cannery Kitchen Restaurant
• 400+ hot meals were provided at special events (Thanksgiving and Christmas) that included walk-ins and delivered food to shut-ins for each event.
• 600+ patients received medications at no cost through FM's Medical Assistance Program at a value of more than 1.5 million dollars and at no cost to the tax payer.
• 65+ families received emergency transportation assistance for medical and other emergencies.
• 20+ patients received Mental Health counseling through a partnership with T-A&M via remote Telehealth technology
• 350+ families each month received concentrated nutrition education and infant care training through the FM Women, Infant and Children Program.
• 4,000+ tutoring and counseling hours were provided to children and their families through a joint partnership with BISD and FM's SMART Program.
• 3,500+ hours of clinical training is provided for students from Texas Colleges and Universities

• Recognized by the Texas Homeless Network (THN) as a best practice model.
• FM Community Clinic has received the State Innovation Award from the Lone Star Association of Charitable Clinics
• Cited three times by TDHCA auditors as one of the best and most efficient community integrated models they had ever seen, resulting in tremendous leverage of resources
• Recognized by Prairie View A&M as an outstanding service agency and one of the top choices for their graduate Intern Training Program.
• Recognized as a Best Practice Model by the National Association of Homeless Children and Youth
• Recognized as one of the most balanced community programs in the state.
• Received commendations from collaborative service partners, such as, Texas Association of Psychology, TDHCA, WIC, Texas Homeless Network, etc.
• Broad based community support that includes: over 30 churches, every segment of local government, school district, service clubs, etc.
• FM named the "Best Overall Agency in BV" by the Brazos Valley Food Bank

Disaster Service Center (DSC)-
Local services through special agreements with Washington County and the City of Brenham, Faith Mission has taken the responsibility of providing emergency services to people displaced or otherwise effected resulting from a local or regional disaster. This is normally in the form of food services, clothing, shelter, referrals, financial needs, FEMA registration, etc. FM has been active in every disaster since hurricane Katrina.
