Dabney Hill Missionary Baptist Church Inc is described as a newly formed grass roots organization established in 2023. Our goal is to raise awareness of the legacy of Dabney Hill Freedom Colony by preserving its landmark institutions. The Church was established in 1887 by freedmen and is the cornerstone of the early African American settlement founded by formerly enslaved. The institution has sustained generations of descendants in the area of spiritual growth since its inception. Founders also built a masonic lodge with roots in benevolent societies.
