We had about 1/3 of our roof blow off late this Spring of 2023 during a severe storm in Caldwell. With the necessary restoration of the damages, this spurred on the overhaul of the physical building as well as taking this opportunity to digitize our cataloging system for all historical artifacts held. This is a lengthy and expensive process as cleaning and reconstruction of our physical building is expensive as well as needing to purchase a computer and Museum Management software to properly complete this porject. We host and facilitate a Heritage Day and a Pre-Kolache Festival Yard Party and Street Dance event for the community. Funds will help pay for needed supplies for making sausage, grinding cornmeal & Czech polka band, wine making, noodle making, among other activities the Czech settlers would have participated in.
