I have been involved with the VAS BCS since it was the Brazos Valley Art League - about 10 years. Its mission includes supporting the growth of individual artists - and that is what it has done for me. I went from being introduced to watercolor before I retired from TAMU's Chemistry Dept, to teaching in my own studio - Brazos Watercolor Retreats - and selling my work. I couldn't have done this without what I learned from other VAS artists.

The Visual Art Society of Bryan-College Station is a 50+ year old all-volunteer non-profit organization dedicated to providing opportunities for local artists of all ages and skill levels to explore, develop and market their creations. Through events and educational programming, VAS strives to foster the appreciation of visual art and aspires to raise awareness about the relevance and intrinsic value of the visual arts in our community and provide annual scholarships for art students.
